Wind Wood and Brass Repair Shops... Be Careful!

by Joshua Berdugo

Today I would like to address something that needs to be said... something that I feel effects a lot of people. We have been getting numerous calls over the years about people who take their instruments to local repair shops and after they would "inspect" the instruments, they would make up some bogus claim, for example:

"That will cost more to fix than the instrument itself!"

or "That will take a month and a half to fix",

or "that trumpet valve guide replacement will cost $100."

or "That is a cheap brand and it is not fixable."

Any store that makes such statements, we guarantee that they are fabricating things to get you to either buy a new instrument, make a lot of money, or discourage you from not getting an instrument from them. Don't Fall For Their Trap!

These are just a few examples... Most of these problems take minutes to fix and should not cost more than $20-30! (Its for free with our repair shops.)

It is just so disheartening to see such hypocrisy and straight out lies...

I know one thing for sure... Jean Paul USA would never do something such as this... we are here for all your problems! Anyone who has a Jean Paul USA question please PLEASE do not go to a repair shop, come to us! We will help you!
