I now have an alto, tenor and soprano from Jean Paul. Could not be happier with the purchases.
Like with my recent JEAN PAUL Alto saxophone purchase, the soprano saxophone look beautiful and sounds well. However, the Bb bis key - left index finger - is very weak, the spring is; additionally, the pad continues to stick ceaselessly.
I would like an exchange; what's the procedure - return mailing address.
Thanks before hand.
I had heard great things about the quality of Jean Paul saxophones and I was not disappointed when I received my Curved Soprano in Silver. It plays great right out of the box, and the build quality is excellent. It actually has some good weight to it, and the sound/resonance comes through well for a sax at this price level or even ones that cost a lot more. I was even pleasantly surprised by the quality of the mouthpiece that shipped with it. My Legere reed was delayed in shipment, but I was able to take the reed and mouthpiece that comes with the sax and play right away. Finally, I was very happy with the ergonomics and key positions as it is very comfortable to play over the full range. Thank you!
This is a very nice instrument. Beautiful quality.
I am loving my Jean Paul curved Soprano! It has a beautiful tone. They keys work really well and it arrived ready to play with no problems. The intonation is very consistent from low to high. The high C through high F# have a wonderful tone - not shrill at all! The mouth piece and ligature are nice quality - easy to play. And thankfully, they included one cane 2.5 reed in the case, because my Legere Signature reed was late! By the way - it plays even better with the Legere Signature reed size 2.5. (I am an Alto Player, using a Soprano for the first time).
