Where is it made?
We manufacture all of our instruments in China. Wind instruments made in China have gotten a bad rap. The reality is there are great instruments (like ours) coming out of China now.
Our instruments are solid, play in tune, and are fully serviceable.
Need parts? We've got 'em. Need servicing? We've got you too.
Over the last decade, we've seen first hand (and have been a part of) the progress in manufacturing wind instruments in China. There's a reason that people love their Jean Paul instruments, and it's because we deliver more value than anyone else.
Let customers speak for us
from 1295 reviewsAs a retired senior, I decided to upgrade from my student Buescher 400 Alto. Upon researching online for a professional and affordable Alto sax, I decided to go with the Jean Paul Anniversary Edition Silver finish. Upon contacting Jean Paul company and speaking with their sales/customer service, I knew I had found the right source in the purchase of a saxophone. Felipe, was very knowledgeable and understanding and patient with me in answering all my questions, regarding the Anniversary Edition Silver finish Alto. Upon placing my order, I was kept in the loop of delivery dates and tracking number. And upon the actual shipping date, I received an email with a short demo video of my actual instrument, being played before shipping. Wow, was I impressed. All I could think of when that beautiful looking silver finished Alto was going to arrive. Upon arrival and unboxing, I was like a little kid on Christmas morning. I was impressed with the beautiful cases it came in and as I began to play the horn it was so fluid and easily to finger up and down the instrument. Top to bottom, solid and sounded awesome. Even the Jean Paul mouthpiece that came with, was a free blowing and bright but warm sounding. The horn is a truly beautiful instrument. I am thankful I came across the Jean Paul Wind Instrument company and it is a family owned company here in the USA. To me, that speaks volumes. So blessed.
I received the 10th year anniversary professional alto sax and I absolutely love it! I enjoy my rehearsals and performances. the sax is smooth and easy to play. it is well tuned, and looks absolutely beautiful! It was such a great purchase! Highly recommend.
Pretty high quality reeds and doesn't taste bad.
Really high quality and clean!
One of the best bangs for the buck. I’ve owned Yamahas, Selmers, vintage and new pro horns and this one is plays comparable if not more consistent throughout the range of the horn. Intonation is good, is bright and would be great for jazz/funk.
The horn is beautiful and the valves are so smooth. I just love it’s sound.
very good and reliable
Very quick delivery
Right out of the box, I had no problem playing. Finding the keys felt natural. Very happy with this sax.
My daughter is loving it.
Now she's more excited to practice and to play then she was before with her old one.
Highly recommend 👌 💯
Unfortunately I never got the chance to use the JP mouthpiece I received. The sax I purchased new was returned for a refund due to unresponsive keys. Once I
replace the returned sax, I will look forward using the JP.
This is my first time ever playing the sax, so I researched tons of saxophones. When I came across Jean Paul, I knew it was the sax I wanted to buy. This saxophone is beautiful and it plays very well! I thought the price and everything that comes with it was great for a complete beginner. Highly recommend buying it!
A good sound and quality. I would definitely recommend this instrument brand.
Got the sax and didn’t stop playing for a week, the quality of the horn made it so fun to play and everything about it looks and feels amazing.
Let me start with my story. I learned to play sax when I was in elementary school on a C Melody Tenor Sax loaned to me by the music teacher. I played that sax in marching, jazz and orchestra for 7 years and returned it upon my graduation. I always wanted to have my own but something always got in the way. Jump forward to today - 54 years later. I now own a Jean Paul Student Tenor Sax and I LOVE IT! I forgot a lot about playing sax but am amazed at how much came flooding back. Out of the box, this sax was ready to play. It's a beautiful instrument to look at, it has great tone and it's fun to play. I'm not as good as I was when I was 17 but as someone once said- practice, practice practice. I did buy a better mouthpiece and a different neck strap plus a few other add-ons - cleaning cloths, pads to protect the mouthpiece from tooth bites, etc. Spend a few dollars more now and save a lot on pad replacement, etc. later. At my age (72 years old!) I will never play in a band but I play for my own enjoyment. Customer service was great to deal with and responded to my questions in a reasonable amount of time.
Thank you Jean Paul folks.
I'm a very happy Sax player!
