I bought a factory refurbished instrument in 2022, for my granddaughter, as she was going to use it for her High School marching band. I wasn't familiar with the brand but found a great review form "Better Sax" on YouTube and took a chance on it. She is now using it for her College Marching Band and is very satisfied with its performance. On two occasions, I have emailed Jean Paul Customer Service reps for a replacement part. They have always acknowledged my request, found the needed part, and got it to me quickly. We are verry happy with our purchase!
Very happy with this purchase. Clarinet sounds and feels very good. I played in hs and then moved to sax and started college as a jazz performance major. Now many years later, I am back to it and playing both. My only complaint with this clarinet is that the case has absolutely no additional storage adequate for reeds, cork grease, etc. If Jean Paul offered an upgraded case, I would have gladly gotten it.
I am very happy with this alto saxophone. It looks beautiful, sounds great, and is a good choice for a beginner like me. The instrument arrived in good condition and with everything I needed to get started. I am enjoying learning to play it and I would recommend it to other beginners.
Nice to have a replacement part available and sent in a timely fashion.
Prospective: long time older sax player who previously never bothered with the clarinet.
Comments:
1. Tone quality & intonation - very good
2. Ergonomics and playability - very good. A clarinets thumb rests has always been awful (yours is no different) BUT the modern addition of a strap hook is great, making it not only easier to hold, but always keeping the horn in proper position.
3. Build Quality - good.
Manufacturing cost control is a big issue I'm sure, but here are my concerns.
A. had to immediately replace one tenor and mouthpiece corks due to loose fit.
B. material "fluff" around several tone holes
C. Keyword does not feel as sturdy as much of your targeted competition, BUT their offerings cost 2-3 X's more .... soooo, it's a push.
Criticism aside, I believe this is a good value for the money spent so this 72 yr. old can torture himself with learning a newish instrument.
This clarinet was delivered as described & promised. My granddaughter is very happy with it.
The flute works very well, and the customer service is excellent. I would definitely come back to purchase other instruments in the future as well.

Its a beauty! This b flat tenor saxophone just arrived. This is it, a half hour out of the box. It sounds just wonderful. Too bad I don't. But its been 48 years since I played. However, I'm committed to get better. Hope I can learn to live up to Jean Paul's excellent reputation.
For the price this alto sax is excellent for a student. My kid played his 3 years then loaned it to another...less gentle...student for a year. Finally after 4 years it needed adjustment. My local shop did not want to work on the Jean Paul brand but Jean Paul had my back. I sent it UPS to a JP repair tech, who got it back to like-new playing. Total cost with shipping was $240. Maybe high maybe not but ok for me to get it done right with no more checking with multiple shops that are an hour or more from home.
Sooo cooooolll my first Flute works soo well very very good price I recommend this !!!!
A gift for granddaughter learning to play for middle school band, she seems to enjoy it and love it. So far so good.

I was looking for a new trumpet that I could actually afford to purchase outright. Personally, I don't particularly care for the idea of buying a used trumpet (or renting one). I'd read some really good things about the Jean Paul TR-430 Intermediate Trumpet, so I decided to take a chance on one. (I decided it'd be preferable to order directly from Jean Paul, instead of placing an order through Amazon.) In any case, I'm glad I did! You simply can't beat the price of this trumpet considering the quality you're receiving. If if you have a child who plays in band (or has expressed a desire to do so) this is the perfect trumpet to purchase for them. Please don't order some cheap "Instrument Shaped Object" from Amazon. Those cheap trumpets will only make your child want to give up on their dream, because the poor quality construction will make them think they don't possess the ability or the talent to play the trumpet, when the problem exists with the instrument, not the student. Please don't hesitate to "pull the trigger" on this trumpet. It's worth every penny!
