I am thoroughly impressed with the professional alto saxophone anniversary edition. From the moment I received it, the quality of the materials and the attention to detail in its craftsmanship were evident. The sound is powerful, clear, and responds perfectly to every nuance. I've noticed a significant difference compared to other saxophones I've tried. The service was also outstanding—I received a video showcasing all the details of the instrument before delivery. Definitely a 10/10!
I am loving my new Pro alto 860! It has a beautiful tone and wonderful engravings! Have been thrilled with my Pro tenor 860 from Jean Paul equally along with my student alto AS400 previously! They are a great family company with excellent after care! I would recommend them to anyone! 👌👌😁👍
I'm new at the Sax so take my review with as much salt as you're diet allows. Basically, I like it. Being new at it, and recently upgrading from a 100+ yr old sax, it's taking some adjustment on my part. I'm finding that some of the key locations are a bit different, and for the time being are causing me to re-learn a few things. Assuming I can adapt, I gotta say, it's nice. I love the tone. It looks really good. It's a bit lighter than my old Sax, which gives my neck a much needed rest. While all Sax's depend on the player for correct pitch, especially at the extremes of the ranges. my Jean Paul is easier for me to get the sound that I want than any rental I've ever used or my old horn . And this I will say for sure. It arrived quickly. It was packaged really well. It played right out of the box, (well, I had to take it out of the case too), and I sounded good right from the start, if you ignore the user induced barks and squeaks.
Good support is an essential ingredient in any purchase. When I ask questions, I get answers. Lovin' it!
A few years ago, as my son was getting into 6th grade beginners band, he wanted to play the alto saxophone. I did allot of research that kept leading to Jean Paul and their AS-400 student alto saxophone. I decided to buy it. My son played it through the 6th and 7th grade and he loved it. This year, he was told to upgrade to a professional saxophone. I thought of Jean Paul first so I decided to buy the new AS-860 10th Anniversary edition. He says it's much better with smoother, quicker responsiveness, nicer tone quality and he says it just feels better in his hands. He said he'll be more then happy with this saxophone for years to come. This is a great, very beautiful instrument and sounds so amazing. Oh yea, and they have a professional sax technician check and set up every single sax they send out and email your technicians sound check of your instrument. Great customer service as well.
Thank you Jean Paul! Very satisfied with this purchase.
As a retired senior, I decided to upgrade from my student Buescher 400 Alto. Upon researching online for a professional and affordable Alto sax, I decided to go with the Jean Paul Anniversary Edition Silver finish. Upon contacting Jean Paul company and speaking with their sales/customer service, I knew I had found the right source in the purchase of a saxophone. Felipe, was very knowledgeable and understanding and patient with me in answering all my questions, regarding the Anniversary Edition Silver finish Alto. Upon placing my order, I was kept in the loop of delivery dates and tracking number. And upon the actual shipping date, I received an email with a short demo video of my actual instrument, being played before shipping. Wow, was I impressed. All I could think of when that beautiful looking silver finished Alto was going to arrive. Upon arrival and unboxing, I was like a little kid on Christmas morning. I was impressed with the beautiful cases it came in and as I began to play the horn it was so fluid and easily to finger up and down the instrument. Top to bottom, solid and sounded awesome. Even the Jean Paul mouthpiece that came with, was a free blowing and bright but warm sounding. The horn is a truly beautiful instrument. I am thankful I came across the Jean Paul Wind Instrument company and it is a family owned company here in the USA. To me, that speaks volumes. So blessed.
