I have two tenor saxophones (Conn 10m and Jean Paul student tenor) and the Jean Paul (after I modified the octave key) is my go to tenor. I have ten tenor mouthpieces but the JP mouthpiece is the best for my JP sax. I aldo play a Yamaha YAS 62 alto (original) with a Selmer S190 mouthpiece. I doubted that a JP alto mouthpiece would be a step up since Jean Paul selects their mouthpieces to match the harmonics of their instruments, not to someone elses instruments, but for a half price sale I took a gamble and bought one my Yamaha on the hopes that the tone would at least be good. It's now my favorite alto mouthpiece. It has a a VERY beautiful tone and is even easier to play than my Selner S190. I ordered two more alto mouthpieces. One to share with a friend who also has a Yamaha YAS62 and one to experiment with refacing. I also ordered an extra tenor mouthpiece for the same reason.
If you have the JP alto or a Yamaha YAS 62, you can't go wrong with this mouthpiece.

I purchased the AS 860 about two years ago when it first debuted. It was intended as a backup to my Selmer Paris Super Action 80 while it was getting a complete tare down overhaul. It was a great choice. Two years on it has had no issues, (only needing slight screw adjustments as the new pads settled in). The low register is outstanding, with a low B/Bb response as easy as blowing out a birthday candle. (Happy Anniversary Jean Paul.) My Selmer is gathering dust. I highly recommend the AS 860.
The flute looks, works and feels great!
My grandaughter is just starting band and was using her dads old flute and it broke, so i bought her this one and she loves it, it sounds amazing
Solid intonation and slotting, excellent valves, comfortable weight, and it looks good, too. It has a slightly more "open" feel than a Bach 37 and has a bright sound that can be warmed with the right mouthpiece. A great big band / jazz horn. I own the lacquered model.
As an adult, first-time sax player, I wanted a quality horn, but didn't want to break the bank. So far, my TS-660 feels like the perfect choice. As the reviews all state, it played great right out of the box--give or take a few hundred squeaks and squawks due to my being a brand new player ;-). As I continue to practice and develop my embouchure, the tones coming out of the sax just get better and better. I fully expect this horn to last me for years to come. If and when I ever purchase a more expensive "professional" saxophone, it will be because I want to, not because I need to. The TS-660 is that good.
Called on Friday October 20 2023 and left several voicemails for them to call me.never return calls then I called multiple times on Monday October 23 2023 and it says no customer service representative is available someone will call you shortly leave your name and number which I did and still haven't heard back
I have no problems, it suits my needs, not gimmicky and not a toy
Much better than fake shammy cleaning kit that came with the sax. Very absorbent, easier to thread lead through instrument.
My 12yo son loves his new horn (purchased direct from JP), which fully works unlike his school issued one. He was able to play it with ease out of the box. He likes the spring action of the keys and the tone of the horn. Ran a leak light before playing and all checked out good! He uses the AS-4 mouthpiece exclusively. I just wish he would let me play it though, lol.
From initial online purchase to two week, post-purchase company followup, Jean Paul has provided a good product at an affordable price and have backed it up with great service - a rarity for many online purchases. The budget curved soprano lives up to it's advertised reputation. And it might be the easiest online warranty process I've ever encountered. Thanks!
