Where is it made?
We manufacture all of our instruments in China. Wind instruments made in China have gotten a bad rap. The reality is there are great instruments (like ours) coming out of China now.
Our instruments are solid, play in tune, and are fully serviceable.
Need parts? We've got 'em. Need servicing? We've got you too.
Over the last decade, we've seen first hand (and have been a part of) the progress in manufacturing wind instruments in China. There's a reason that people love their Jean Paul instruments, and it's because we deliver more value than anyone else.
Let customers speak for us
from 1729 reviewsPart support is amazing!
They only charged me shipping to help a customer of mine out with repairs.
I had originally never thought they had robust part support. In this modern age, part support for even more affordable instruments is vital.
10/10
We bought this tenor saxophone (silver! Is is so pretty!) about 9 months ago and it sounds beautiful. My daughter is a bit hard on it during marching band and we lost a screw I sent and email with a picture of the area and got a quick response with the part and the ability to get it just paying shipping. Great instrument and great customer service.
Very pleased
My son needed a trumpet for school band and this student trumpet b stock was perfect! Sounds great! And had very little cosmetic tint defects but other than that it’s an awesome choice for students!
Very good customer service. Highly recommend
This company is so amazing to work with. We bought our saxaphone 2 years ago and is still going strong with no difficulty. However, I had some difficulty with the hardware for the straps needing replaced. They sent everything free of charge! I would definitely do business in the future with them!
I got a 2.0, not a 2.5, which is better for me as I'm a beginner. The reed arrived without any signs of damage and works perfectly with the Jean Paul AS-400.
Beautiful and great sounding product right out of the box.
Exceptional instrument at a great price. The B-stock options offer the same quality product with additional savings. The saxophone plays beautifully right out of the box. The employees are quick to answer questions and offer help in any way. Great company, great product, I’ll be purchasing from JP again.
When my son first started playing, we bought him the Jean Paul AS-440 Alto Saxophone. It proved to be a fantastic student model—durable, easy to play, and perfect for marching band. As his skills grew, we decided to upgrade to their professional model, the AS-860, for Christmas. The transition between the two instruments was seamless, and the value for the price is unbeatable.
The AS-860 is a stunning instrument. The silver finish is beautiful, featuring exquisite etching and striking black abalone key touches. Beyond its appearance, my son says it plays incredibly smoothly and delivers a rich tone.
What truly sets Jean Paul apart is their personal connection to their customers:
A Personal Christmas Touch: Before shipping the AS-860, a technician filmed a video in the factory playing that exact instrument and discussing its setup. Showing that video to my son when he opened his gift made the moment extra special.
Exceptional Customer Care: When my son had an accident and damaged the neck on his AS-440, Jean Paul’s team went above and beyond. A technician called me directly to confirm the exact replacement part needed, offered a returning customer discount, and took the time to talk through the repair.
It is clear that the team at Jean Paul puts true passion, love, and craftsmanship into their instruments while genuinely caring for the musicians who play them. They have earned our complete trust, and we cannot recommend them enough.
I've owned 5 or 6 sopranos, straight and curved, very old and brand new. This one is really fun to play. Tuning is consistent over the full range, the action is responsive, and the tone is warm. It looks great, and the play-test video prepared by the head technician was a remarkable bit of customer service. I received the instrument quickly in perfect condition.
My previous instruments were nice to have in a big band setting, where doubles are needed, but I rarely played them just for fun. That's all going to change! Got some smiles and nods when I brought this to a recent small-group session.
Just a Body to Body with screws Nothing Exciting But got correct part .
Much better finish, mechanics, and sound than my previous Mendini from Amazon.
Perfect for my daughter who is in her first year of band. Thank you!
Out the box, plays great. Tone, feel, keys and mouthpiece no complaints. I am the one needs some tuning up going between alto and soprano is a steep learning curve.
Highly recommend this soprano.
