Where is it made?
We manufacture all of our instruments in China. Wind instruments made in China have gotten a bad rap. The reality is there are great instruments (like ours) coming out of China now.
Our instruments are solid, play in tune, and are fully serviceable.
Need parts? We've got 'em. Need servicing? We've got you too.
Over the last decade, we've seen first hand (and have been a part of) the progress in manufacturing wind instruments in China. There's a reason that people love their Jean Paul instruments, and it's because we deliver more value than anyone else.

from 1422 reviewsNew to soprano, and it’s definitely more challenging than my Mk Vl Tenor, but she’s a very well made, great sounding little horn. Thanks for a great, reasonably priced product and excellent customer service!
The 10th Anniversary addition AS860 from Jean Paul has been a really beautiful upgrade from my first student-level sax. Didn’t care for the upgraded mouthpiece at first, but now love it. Customer support (Felipe) has been awesome to work with, and is taking care of a problem with the wrong item sent in my order bundle. Very happy with the tonal qualities and feel of the AS860. Thanks Jean Paul!
I'm returning to the sax after 40 years and started with a rental Yamaha 475II. When I was ready for my own horn, the JP looked a great value and I loved the silver with black pearl anniversary edition. While a little bit harder to blow than the Yamaha, I can hit the high notes much better. Tone and intonation seem good and pleasing to my novice ear.
Easy to play without squeaking especially when playing loud.
It's a very beautiful instrument with also a nice sound. I love it
I bought the anniversary silver professional alto sax. I love it! It's gorgeous! And plays excellent. I don't like the case. It's hard unzipping & zipping around the bend. I looked on your site for a hard case but didn't see one. I'm not a professional player but the case is not what I expected. I still would recommend the saxophone
Student Alto Saxophone
I got my TR-860S a couple of weeks ago and I'm impressed. I'm a beginner, but I'm making progress and the trumpet sounds and plays very well.
I also recently got a TS-660 tenor sax and an SS-860 soprano sax. I am very pleased with each of them. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the box without a name on it. It sat in our home for days and she still doesn’t know she is getting a brand new horn!! thank sooo much for your down to earth kindness and great product!!
Student Tenor Saxophone
I play the piano, guitar, bass, and drums. Learning a wind instrument has been something I've wanted to do for over a decade. This Jean Paul Student Alto Sax seems well made and plays well when I'm not screwing up. The tone is very satisfying. My only comparison is a Selmer that I rented years ago and briefly played. This was also a better choice for me than going with something used. You get everything you need to play right away. I've since bought a few more reeds, swabs, and a stand.
Bought as a gift for my father. He loves it. I already know he’ll be playing all the time now. The instrument is beautiful. I wish it came with extra reeds but that’s alright! I trust this company, and hope the instrument stays in its best shape for a long time!
Recently I bought my Professional 860 alto Sax, I am more than happy with the instrument. The sound is wonderful, the quality of the construction that I can perceive, the engraving looks amazing. The facility to play high and low notes makes a huge difference. The support was amazing, this is my second instrument because previously I had bought my Tenor which is wonderful and plays like new after more than a year. The support in the purchase process was awesome, thanks Jean Paul team! I was going to be only a few days in Florida and they gave me a great support in order to get my Alto sax. For those who are looking for a professional instrument, this is it.
A beautiful Soprano. It just gets out of my way and allows me to play! Complete value for money. Unbeatable!
I was skeptical of being able to make a decent sound, but was able to rather quickly with this flute! Off & on, of course. I’m a beginner and don’t know much, but so far it seems like a good one for a beginner! I’m happy with my purchase.
