Great Trumpet!

We ordered this trumpet for me a month ago....Jean Paul's T330 Trumpet shows you don't need an expensive Trumpet to sound good! I'm really amazed at this Trumpet. It comes with a 7C Mouthpiece (a great beginner's mouthpiece), which you can upgrade if you choose. Pair a high-quality Mouthpiece with this Trumpet, take care of the trumpet + the player behind the instrument, and you're good to go for quite some time. When you unbox this trumpet--and before you play it--it's recommend you oil the valves with high-quality valve oil, like the 'Blue Juice' line of Valve Oil (instead of using the valve oil that comes with the trumpet). The trumpet comes with instructions on maintenance/care of the trumpet. I plan on getting the Jean Paul's Flugelhorn in a few months.

JEAN PAUL TR-330 STUDENT TRUMPET Bb

I have used this Trumpet for 2 days after purchase with no issues. Trumpet plays in tune. Pistons work fine. Slides work fine. Water keys work fine. This is a good beginner trumpet. The price will not brake your pocket. It will do the job. I purchased this trumpet as a back up in case my professional trumpet gets damaged. The trumpet plays nice.

an instrument of excellent quality, a resistant and very nice case, at a good price.

(the only complaint is that I would have liked them to notify me that they were going to charge an import tax, from there on out, I have no complaints)

Very nice trumpet!
It's the first trumpet I get, but it sounds really nice. I'm happy.

This instrument is solid and fitted beautifully with no cheap corner cutting. It has a lovely smooth tone and if I knew how to video myself I would play a bit for it. I'm new to trumpet but a bit of lip practice should get you on the way. This is NOT a cheap, flimsy instrument. Highly recommend the YouTube videos comparing it to the 3K trumpet.

I purchased a Jean Paul trumpet through a third party retailer online as I always wanted to learn to play an instrument. I am almost 70. After the trumpet arrived, I realized that there was a tiny flaw. I contacted Jean Paul Customer Support online requesting that a replacement part might be sent so I would not have to miss practicing by returning the entire trumpet. Hey, I'm old. Who knows how much practice time I have left. The representative of Jean Paul requested photos to document the tiny flaw. Then, he offered to replace the trumpet with a brand new one rather than replacing just the part; and, also, suggested a way to coordinate the return and delivery so that I would be without my trumpet for only two days. Jean Paul, without question, is the most ethical company I have dealt with throughout my long life. Thank You! It does a tired, old soul good to know that this level of decency still exists.

I studied Trumpet many years ago and was told I had a great armature for the instrument but went on to play keyboards and guitar in bands and as a solo performer. I was so excited to see the instrument and look forward to getting my "chops" together and moving up to a professional level instrument from Jean Paul. Lawrence Renko

I’m a graduate of the musicians Institute from the guitar program so I know a little bit about music but I’ve never touched a brass or wind instrument so this is my first trumpet ! My band mates say it blows better than theirs lol! So far I can get a few tones but man it’s not easy!

To whom it may concern:
I don't usually, write comments about companies, because I'm shafted by them. Now, I'm writing to you personally, because you have went the extra mile, the end around, all of those together in the way you have assisted me. I will endorse your company, come hell or high water. Thank you, for aiding an old trumpet player(63yr) get his feel back. Even thought, I don't practice like I should!! I'm currently teaching my grandchild , how to play. Thanks for the trumpet that sounds like the $1000.00 King I bought.

Josh at Jean Paul customer support was very helpful, friendly and reassuring. He assisted me with my concerns regarding the trumpet purchase for my 8 year old daughter. She had a choice of various instruments and she fell in love with the trumpet. I am glad that we were able to find an affordable product that will nurture that desire to learn music. We didn't realize how vast and important the details are when selecting an instrument and it's maker. Customer service definitely is a plus especially when starting out as a novice. This is how you build brand loyalty.

Customer service was wonderful and very helpful. The trumpet was received well protected in an easy to carry case. Jean Paul even has a YouTube video we plan to use. Thank you for making my daughter's special day, extra special.

Looks good, son loves it and it arrived a day earlier than expected. The only issue I can see with this transaction thus far is that they leave it at your door in the actual box the trumpet comes in, which advertises to the world what's inside. So you really want to make sure to watch for delivery.

Good trumpet but some small issues

When I first got the trumpet, the 2nd value was getting stuck and making weird clanging noises for no reason, even after I cleaned it top to bottom, oiled the valves, it still didn’t work. I don’t know if this trumpet is defective or not, but this is a three star for me.

Terrible

The customer service experience was terrible. My original horn came broken which is fine, that happens. Then they sent a replacement that was both more broken than the first one and which looked like it had been used by about three people before me. When I emailed about that I never got a response. So I just gave up and sent them both back

Does the job.

Overall good for the price. The valves are a bit wonky and the tuning slide moves out while playing.

Our First Trumpet

This is our first trumpet and he loves it. We did a search for one that was reasonably priced, but also had a good resale value, and buy, did we hit the jackpot. Our son sounds so good.
We are more than pleased.

Great trumpet at a great price

After purchasing a Jean Paul AS-400 sax a few months back and being so impressed with it, I decided to purchase a Jean Paul TR-330 trumpet, hoping to make some headway after trying to learn trumpet on a Tromba plastic horn and an inexpensive pocket trumpet, both with mixed results. When my Jean Paul trumpet came, the first couple of notes affirmed that I had made the right choice. The instrument seems quite well-made and the tone is far superior to my expectations, but quite aligned with the reviews I had been watching and/or reading. I am 70 years old and play multiple instruments, but I cannot image any good reason for a parent to rent an instrument for a child when a modest investment in a trumpet like the TR-330 can yield much more "bang for the buck" over the course of a student's school career. Or, if you are an adult beginner, I highly suggest you consider this option. As with my alto sax, the fit and finish, the case, and care in shipping are all top-notch.

Great value!

At 54 years old, I decided to learn how to play trumpet, which has been my nemsis since high school. I had purchased a Jean Paul student alto sax last year and was impressed by the build quality. When I got decent, the tone was just as good as the rental Selmer I tried. With such a good experience with the alto sax, I decided to buy their student trumpet. Jean Paul quality is also shines on the trumpet. When oiled propertly, the valves and slides move effortlessly. On the rare occasion that I get my embouchure right, I can get a very satisfying tone. I did change out the mouthpiece to a 5C to make the buzzing easier for me. I can highly recommend Jean Paul's student alto sax and trumpet!

It’s a great starter trumpet

I like everything about it except the fact that when I take the tuning slide out it’s considerably difficult to put back in as it doesn’t seem to line up back into place like it is supposed to.
Other than that it’s a fantastic horn and I look forward to learning on it for years to come
