Where does it ship from?

Mouthpieces may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Since a mouthpiece is a trial item, you're welcome to test it during that window, a few things apply on return:

  • A $5 sanitization fee applies to every mouthpiece return, deducted from your refund.
  • If the mouthpiece is returned with visible wear or scratches beyond normal handling, a 20% restocking fee applies.
  • Return shipping is the customer's responsibility (typically ~$10 for a mouthpiece), deducted from your refund, same as our standard return policy.
  • The mouthpiece must be returned in its original packaging with all included parts (cap, ligature, etc.).

The Sound

Bright, defined, and built to cut.

Where the HR* plays warm and round, the JET plays bright and defined. JodyJazz's Proprietary Polycarbonate Alloy construction and a medium-high baffle push the upper midrange forward, giving the alto a focused, projecting sound with presence that carries over a rhythm section. The JET responds quickly at all dynamic levels and stays in tune under pressure, making it a practical choice for live playing situations where the mouthpiece needs to do some of the work.

Who It's For

The JET Alto is for players who need a clearer, more defined sound than the HR* provides. Good for anyone moving between jazz and commercial styles, or who plays in live settings where projection matters and amplification is not always available. The 7 and 8 tip openings cover a range from medium-open to open, giving players room to find the right fit for their embouchure and the style they're working in.

Players who have been on an HR* and want more edge without going all the way to a professional-level piece will find the JET a natural step. Also works for players coming from other medium-bright mouthpieces who want to stay in that character but move to a JodyJazz.
