Bought the TR-430 Trumpet a month ago and haven't been able to put it down. This trumpet could easily hold it's own against much higher priced trumpets. The valves are smooth, the compression is good and the finish is flawless. Plays very well and feels like a quality product. Excellent value!
I played a Getzen Severensen model trumpet (the only silver trumpet in the Band) throughout high school in both a marching band and the orchestra as first trumpet. At 18, I sold my trumpet when I joined the Navy and hadn’t picked one up in nearly 50 years until I saw and bought a used Tri-Star in a pawn shop last October. Once my embouchure and endurance came back, I researched many trumpet models, including the infamous Vincent Bach (pricy). I chose the JP TR-430 because of the great reviews and realized I made the right decision.
This has got to be the best intermediate horn I've ever played. It's comparable to the Bach Stradavarious 32 ML, no over exaggeration
I bought a student trumpet from Costco 2 years ago. It served me well and I practiced constantly on it. Decided to buy a 430 intermediate trumpet and could not be happier. The build is substantial and the finish immaculate. I also find it easier to be in tune and my upper register notes are clear and strong. My teacher is very impressed with the trumpet and the price paid. He has a high end Japanese instrument and the Jean Paul trumpet compares well at a fraction of the cost. Glad to have stayed in the Jean Paul family...
