This Tenor is an excellent instrument. Quality is very good, the horn plays outstanding, and once again, the customer support is superb. After only a few weeks of awning the instrument, one of the posts for the key guard of the low C key had detached itself form the horn. Tim for customer support was an absolute pleasure to communicate my issues with. He was very responsive and quite knowledgeable with helping me. In less than a week, my issue was not only confirmed, but the had another tenor on the way to me before I had even shipped out my old one! Excellent on all levels. I would absolutely recommend this sax to players.
I've had my tenor for about 4 months. I was very impressed that every time I had a question about even minor things, someone got right back to me- usually within a day. They definitely take the idea of keeping the five star rating for customer service very seriously. The silver plated finish looks great, all of the pads seal perfectly, and the overall sound is pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
A beautiful Sax with a beautiful sound. Great for beginners.
I have played saxophone for over 7 years now. I started on alto and as of 4 years ago transitioned to bari. I've wanted a tenor for a while and had heard only good things about Jean Paul instruments. I can tell you that these are absolutely true. The tenor is quite good for the price. What shocked me the most was actually the case. The saxophone doesn't move AT ALL while it is in the case, which is what you want. It also has backpack straps which can come in handy. The only con worth noting is that a few of the key corks were not aligned properly. This doesn't affect the play ability or the sound of the horn, but it is something I noticed. I would buy again from Jean Paul, and fully plan to once I have enough money to buy my own baritone sax.
