Mouthpieces may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Since a mouthpiece is a trial item, you're welcome to test it during that window, a few things apply on return:

  • A $5 sanitization fee applies to every mouthpiece return, deducted from your refund.
  • If the mouthpiece is returned with visible wear or scratches beyond normal handling, a 20% restocking fee applies.
  • Return shipping is the customer's responsibility (typically ~$10 for a mouthpiece), deducted from your refund, same as our standard return policy.
  • The mouthpiece must be returned in its original packaging with all included parts (cap, ligature, etc.).

The Sound

Warm, centered control on the most demanding voice in the family.

The soprano saxophone amplifies every choice the player makes, good and bad. The HR* Soprano brings the hard rubber warmth and round medium chamber that makes the HR* family easy to play across alto and tenor, and applies it where soprano players need it most: a focused, centered sound that stays in tune across the full range. The minimal rollover baffle keeps the tone from going thin or shrill, even at the top of the altissimo register.

Who It's For

The HR* Soprano is for players who want a warm, controlled soprano sound that does not veer toward the shrill or the nasal. Hard rubber construction keeps the tone grounded in the lower mids, which helps with the pitch stability challenges that soprano is known for. One tip opening (7) is stocked, covering a versatile middle range that works for intermediate to professional players.

Good for combo jazz, classical wind ensemble, and any setting where the soprano needs to blend rather than stand out. Players who double on alto or tenor and want a soprano mouthpiece that feels like a natural extension of their sound rather than a completely different instrument will find the HR* a sensible choice.
